San Francisco knows how to throw a beer week. The past 10 days have been filled with more than 500 events featuring beers both local and from afar, new and rare, unusual and delicious. And while our crew couldn't hit even close to every activity on the schedule, we definitely drank our share, chatting with local beer lovers and brewers at every chance we got.
We attended beer-pairing dinners and a cool new lecture series, a bottle share, a cheese-pairing class, and a couple of new beer release parties. We drank Pliny the Younger and a special Sauvignon Blanc barrel-aged version of Calicraft's Buzzerkely, a salted caramel beer from Cervecería de MateVeza, a peaty smoked Black IPA from Headlands Brewing, and a stout whose ingredients included oysters in their shells. We might need a little post-Beer Week detox, but it's been a really wonderful experience. Head over to the slideshow for our report on the highlights of SF Beer Week 2014 »
