Things you won't see me drinking a lot of these days: Day-Glo margaritas in flavors like "Blue (Berry) Monster" and "Razz-Ma-Tazz." I like my tazz unrazzed, thanks. And if a drink glows in the dark, I don't want to face it in the light of day.

But I do love actual fruit in my drinks: it's great when the flavor of the fruit is heightened by a little booze, and not blasted away with artificial lime and sweetener. And nothing is better than an icy beverage on a hot day. So we got out the blender at Serious Eats HQ and perfected five fresh-fruit-focused recipes for everyone's favorite tequila cocktail.

These five margaritas are everything we want fruit drinks to be: balanced, flavorful, not too sweet, not too sharp or strong, and totally refreshing. Plus, they're easy to make for a group if you're hosting a barbecue or build-your-own-taco party. Check out all five in the slideshow above, or go straight to the recipes below.
