If a breakfast taco is a logical enough hangover helper—eggs and often cheese and often something spicy in an easy-to-eat form—the "BAT" (Big Azz Taco) ($4.89) at Izzoz Tacos in Austin is a breakfast taco taken to its logical conclusion.
Really, it's more of an open-faced burrito than a taco. It may be simple, but its mountain of softly scrambled eggs, cheese that melts as you eat it (though we wish it were a little meltier to start with), beans, and soft chunks of potato, in a pair of pliable tortillas, constitutes a breakfast so substantial as to knock out anything wrong with you. But the best part is the bacon; in reasonably big chunks, its flavor contributes to absolutely every bite of the thing. Seriously, everything tastes like bacon. It's best with their salsa, a spicy and intensely flavorful blend of tomatoes with both jalapeños and chile de arbol.
