I'm a sucker for anything blackberry flavored; wild blackberries grow in my childhood backyard and once filled an entire lot in our neighborhood. (They're an invasive species, but at least they're delicious!) We'd pick huge containers of the super-ripe berries for putting in muffins (and a deep purple sorbet), staining our fingers, teeth, and jeans in the process. So on the first warm afternoon of spring, I gravitated toward this blackberry limeade from Natalie's Orchid Island Juice Company.
It's a gorgeous color from the addition of blackberry purée, and the sweet, juicy blackberry flavor comes through to the forefront. This isn't a super-tart limeade, and some might be tempted to add an extra squeeze of lime to make it a little less sweet. Share a bottle over ice, topped off with seltzer water, pull a chair out to the patio, and take the afternoon off.
This drink is part of the "Hand Crafted Seasonal Blends" series which also includes cranberry orange, orange mango peach, and orange raspberry juice. Have you tried any of them?
