Until now, you could pretty much only try beers from Sixpoint Craft Ales on tap. Starting around Memorial Day, though, 16-ounce cans of Sweet Action, Bengali Tiger IPA, Righteous Ale, and The Crisp will be available in stores.
'Sixpoint Craft Ales' on Serious Eats
On Saturday, March 26, BeerAdvocate and Sixpoint Craft Ales are throwing Beer for Beasts, a benefit event for the The Humane Society of New York City. We're really excited for the beers—at least thirteen brand new brews will be made just for this event. Each staff member is spearheading their own brew, in addition to a few collaborative efforts. We asked our friends at Sixpoint to fill us in on what's in the fermenters so far.
Shane Welch founded Sixpoint Craft Ales in 2004 and has been brewing some of our favorite beers ever since. We chatted with Welch about his sources of inspiration, the beers he loves, his place in the craft brewing scene, and the ups and downs of running a small brewery in New York City.
