What's Your Local Cheap Beer?

Taste tests of cheap regional beer pop up all over the internet every so often, but a blind tasting doesn't factor in the nostalgia element: sometimes a beer fits in with a certain setting, whether you've road tripped to your childhood home or flown to your college town for a reunion.

When I'm back home in the Pacific Northwest, I'm always kind of happy to see cheap Rainier on the menu, even if I wouldn't rate it highly on taste alone. I know midwesterners with warm feelings for Stag, Baltimoreans whose college experience wouldn't have been the same without Natty Boh, and more than a few bearded dudes who are convinced that Olympia could be the next PBR.

Are you nostalgic for Old Style or Iron City? Is there a cheap beer that's ubiquitous near you? If so, how do you think it compares to other American lagers? Do you ever drink it just for old time's sake?
