A cocktail menu in Austin wouldn't be complete without some version of the margarita. For this drink, Vuong shakes up Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, Blue Nectar Reposado Tequila, and freshly squeezed orange juice. He tops it off with fizzy Woodchuck Hard Cider.
Steam Roller ($9)
Woodford Reserve Bourbon is mixed into the nutty Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron. Cherry Heering contributes fruity depth, and the combination results in unexpected coffee flavors. created interesting coffee notes. To lighten the drink up, Vuong adds elderflower liqueur and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Summer Hoedown ($8)
Designed for Austin's sizzling summers, Vuong muddled watermelon cubes and added a touch of Mathilde Framboise liqueur for fruitiness in this drink. He topped it all off with Harpoon Brewery's UFO White. Chunks of watermelon are intentionally left in for nibbling.
Guinness Cream Soda ($8)
This Guinness based drink is flavored with Three Olives Whipped Cream Vodka, which adds a potent boost of vanilla. Canton ginger liqueur steers it toward spicy sarsaparilla soda territory, with a subtle bitterness from the beer.
