Toward the end of last night's Taste of the Nation event, we overheard an industry insider declare that the shaken and stirred cocktails being served by some of the city's top bartenders trumped the plates we all gobbled up. As a team who conquered our fair share of sampling both (you can check out our favorite bites here), we had to agree that it was a tough call.
Fruit-forward, seasonal cocktails ruled the evening—strawberries and rhubarb took the stage alongside Bibb lettuce and Hendrick's Gin. And while technique-focused locals like our beloved Booker and Dax swirled a little liquid nitrogen in the mix, many of the drinks were variations on the classic cocktails with a seasonal spin.
Did you go to the event last night? Which drinks were your favorites?
