My Favorite Places to Drink Coffee in Paris
Before I'd ever been to Paris, I'd heard horror stories about their espresso and rumors that it was impossible to get a good cup of drip coffee there. Yet, on that first day in The City of Light, bleary-eyed and half-conscious right off the overnight flight, I stumbled upon (okay I used Yelp—don't judge!) what is now my favorite coffee shop in Paris: Télescope. As luck would have it, it was a stone's throw away from apartment I was staying in, and it had just opened not too long ago. This cozy space has a welcoming feel, and the pourover coffee is delicious.
With a few recommendations from the owner of Télescope and a little research, I've enjoyed exploring the coffee shops of Paris every time I've traveled there. I can't help but revisit Télescope multiple times, but I've also fallen for the charms of other shops, including Le Bal, Coutume, Kooka Boora, and newcomer Ten Belles. Check out the slideshow for more details on each of my favorite Paris coffee destinations.
