Keep it Simple: 20 Three-Ingredient Cocktails To Make At Home

Sometimes it seems like every cocktail has eleven ingredients, two types of bitters, and a homemade infusion. But what's a home drink-mixer to do, if you don't have a million different spirits on hand or 24 hours to get your cocktail made? January seems about the right time to simplify, to take stock of the drinks we can make with just a handful of ingredients. There are many, many classics to be considered, but we also wanted to offer recipes for a few more unusual drinks we've enjoyed in recent months.

Check out 20 different drinks you can make with just 3 ingredients in the slideshow above. (No, ice and optional garnishes don't count toward the total, but bitters definitely do.)

Tell us in the comments—what drinks do you like to make when your bar stash is running a little low? Do you have favorite cocktails—classics or new creations—that are terrific even though they're simple?
