Highlights From Chicago Craft Beer Week 2012

The eleven days of Chicago Craft Beer "Week" are wrapping up, finally giving Chicago beer drinkers a chance to take a break. The festivities launched with the Beer Under Glass event at the Garfield Park Conservatory on May 17 and closed out with well over a thousand people breaking in Revolution Brewing's huge new production facility. The days in between had hundreds of events including a craft beer scavenger hunt, beer trolley tours, beach parties and a mini golf course in a beer barrel warehouse.

There is a lot to get excited about in the Chicago craft beer world. (Even when Beer Week is over, we still get to enjoy the city's great breweries Half Acre, Revolution, Haymarket, Piece, Goose Island, and more.) The vibrant Chicago craft beer community always does an excellent job taking care of its locals, and Craft Beer Week was no exception. We drank a lot of local beer this week, but here are a few of the best.
