We've just reached the end of SF Beer Week here in the Bay Area. Not content with a mere seven days, the festival crammed more than 300 events into a ten day span. The excitement kicked off with an opening celebration sponsored by the San Francisco Brewers Guild before fanning out into individual bars and venues—mostly in San Francisco, but ranging as far south as Santa Cruz and as far north as Sonoma.
With all that beer-soaked ground to cover, we hardly even scratched the surface of everything on offer. But at just about every stop we made, it seemed clear the brewers had gone out of their way to tap their stores for the unique, the rare, the strong, and sometimes the strange. Check out the slideshow for 8 of our most memorable sips from SF Beer Week.
