Spot of Tea: Numi Organic Aged Earl Grey
Though I generally prefer loose leaf tea, this Assam offering from Numi (blended with real bergamot, not 'natural flavors') is quite good, bold and even a bit smoky, with enough backbone to add milk if desired.
Despite a potent scent, you don't get a huge hit of bergamot with this tea, but the mellow, heathery citrus flavor blends well into the tea. (The stronger you brew it, the more the black tea will dominate.)
Serve on a crisp fall morning with a scone and orange marmalade.
Available online, $6.99 per 18-count box
