Everything We Drank at Best of The West, San Francisco Cocktail Week
San Francisco Cocktail Week started in 2007 with just a few small events to celebrate the burgeoning cocktail culture in the Bay Area. Five years later and the event is coasting along, hosting tons of events, seminars, and after parties for a week full of boozy fun. At Best of The West, nine bartenders from San Diego to Victoria, Canada, came to prove their stuff.
Each bartender was given two secret ingredients to use in a signature cocktail that would also represent their home city. How'd it go? Let's just say the West Coast knows how to party. Every cocktail was thoughtfully prepared and, thanks to interesting secret ingredient combinations (Solerno and absinthe, anyone?) every drink was totally original.
East Coast, I think the gauntlet has been thrown.
