This Finger Lakes riesling may smell like a fragrant peach tart, but it tastes tart, with bright white grapefruit-like acidity that lingers. This is a crisp wine for a sunny day out on the water—the minerality reads as slightly salty, making this perfect for drinking with seafood salads or grilled calamari. There's an edge of faint lemon-peel bitterness on the finish.

Like a lemony iced tea steeped with sprigs of lavender, this wine is meant to be refreshing, and it offers just enough minerality and fruit to balance the puckering acids. For around $15, this easy-drinking riesling is a solid deal.

Around $15, sample provided for review.
