Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches and Ithaca Beer Co.
Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches and Ithaca Beer Co.
We thought the tart citrus flavor of Ithaca's Excelsior! White Gold was terrific with the fresh cilantro and spice of Nicky's pork banh mi.
Northern Spy Food Co. and Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.
Northern Spy Food Co. and Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.
Greenport Harbor’s crisp, light Summer Ale cut through Northern Spy’s delicate pork terrine perfectly. We also enjoyed the brewery’s bitter yet balanced Citrus IPA, the latest beer in their Project Hoppiness series, which features whole citrus fruit added to the mash and boil in lieu of bittering hops.
Back Forty and Captain Lawrence Brewing Co.

Captain Lawrence's Liquid Gold was just light enough to not overpower the subtle sweetness of the corn blini holding up Back Forty's Liquid Gold-braised brisket and pickled watermelon rind.
The Vanderbilt and Kelso of Brooklyn
The Vanderbilt and Kelso of Brooklyn
This was the most unlikely pairing of the evening. What exactly goes with Kelso's decadent 11.7% Bourbon barrel-aged Double IPA? The Vanderbilt went with housemade mortadella and whole grain mustard. The meat's gentle spice meshed well with the beer's barrel character, and the mustard was just enough to cut through and provide some contrast.
Beer Table and Sixpoint Craft Ales
Beer Table and Sixpoint Craft Ales
Sixpoint's Autobahn IPA provided a bitter counterpoint to Beer Table's deconstructed BLT. We loved the beer's West Coast-style hop character along with the skewer's fatty mustard and maple glazed bacon.
