Sometimes, simply imbibing the "hair of the dog that bit you" just isn't enough to jump start your morning-after. Sometimes you need some added elements—like tomato juice, for vitamins. Some pickled garnishes, for energy. And some spice, to punch your senses awake. Thank goodness for the Bloody Mary. We scoured the city for the best of the best, equipping ourselves with bottles of water and unshakable determination. We learned our limits (three Bloody Marys in a row, to be exact). But the work paid off—we now know exactly where to go on those mornings. We avoided the design-your-own bloody mary bars (some mornings, you really just can't make decisions), and found that the city's bartenders had us covered no matter our tastes.

With that, we present you with San Francisco's 7 best. From the spicy to the soju-spiked, these drinks are sure to cure what ails you. Or at the very least, taste damn good with your eggs.
