If scooping and measuring is just too much for you, or you want to carry tea with you on the road, you don't have to miss out on flavorful loose leaf teas. Tea Forte now offers loose leaf in easy single-serving packages—just dump one into an infusing spoon (or a single-brew cup) and you're ready to steep.

The Earl Grey is notable for its balance. Too many times have I experienced a blend that appeared as if I had brewed (literally) a mere spot of tea with my cup of bergamot oil. But this tea is darkly grassy with a caramel undertone. It has just enough of a black tea bite, but no bitter aftertaste.

The scent of the Chamomile Citron tea reminded me of walking into a flower shop. The rosehips included in the blend color the tea orangey pink. The flavor is floral and delicately citrusy, with hints of grapefruit and lemon, but it's not puckeringly sour, which is appropriate for a calming pre-bedtime brew.

Available online, $7.50 for 12 pouches. We received a sample for review.
