San Francisco's Humphry Slocombe has earned all sorts of notice for creating crazy ice cream flavors like foie gras and sweet summer corn. But the game-changer is Secret Breakfast: bourbon ice cream with corn flakes mixed in.

The ice cream is great on its own, but if you're on the market for a frosty beverage (and you should be), they'll turn it into a Coke float for you. The Secret Breakfast float ($5) often appears as a special, but I'm told they'll make it for you any time as long as they have some Coke on the premises.

Despite the Jim Beam in the ice cream, it's not enough to cause your float to taste like a cocktail. The ice cream lends a creaminess to the Coke, but not much boozy buzz. The folks at Humphry Slocombe balance this out by adding a bit of house-made bourbon-caramel sauce to the drink. It becomes chewy as it sits in the frigid liquid, and is sweet at first taste before giving way to an alcoholic afterbite. It's this little treat that makes the drink.

No, you won't get drunk off this stuff, but you can probably manage a pretty good sugar rush.
